Daragh has discovered immense value in the course, finding it incredibly beneficial for enhancing his typing skills. As a result, he now navigates his homework assignments with newfound ease and efficiency. Given Daragh’s severe dyslexia, this skill is pivotal in ensuring his academic success.— Aoife C, Parent
My son has dyslexia and dyspraxia. Searsol has helped my son develop a typing speed of 25 words per minute (Silver grade). Thank you to Sean and the other course tutors who we have met over the last two years.— Nuala, Dublin
My son has become very proficient at typing heading towards his Silver Award (25 words per minute) in the Searsol typing classes. We haven’t looked back since the first day he started and are delighted with his progress.— Claire H., parent of a child with dyslexia
Searsol was recommended to me by my son’s occupational therapist as he has dyspraxia. We haven’t looked back since the first day he started. After nearly 2 years of attending he has become very proficient at typing heading towards his gold badge. Thank you Searsol.— Parent

Frequently asked questions

What happens at the free trial?

Your child joins a normal 1-hour class at the centre you choose, so you can both see how it works before signing up. At the end of class you should come into the class and an assessment report will detail how your child got on, what the average wpm and accuracy is, and what potential grade they will achieve on our typing classes within 3–6 months.

How much does it cost?

€80 per month per child, and €72 per month for each sibling when you book together. The first month is prorated and there is no long contract.

Does my child need to bring a laptop?

Some centres ask students to bring a laptop. Each centre on the Find Centres page shows “Please bring a laptop” where this applies. If you don’t have one, call us on +353 1 630 3384 before booking.

Are the classes suitable for dyslexia or dyspraxia?

Yes. Many of our students have dyslexia, dyspraxia (DCD), autism or dysgraphia. Each child works at their own pace.

How long does it take to learn to type?

Every child is different. Many students reach Silver grade (25 words per minute) which is suitable for state exams. More on typing speeds and exams.
